| Know Your Elected Officials
Your elected state and federal representatives and senators are the
individuals directly responsible for the drafting and enacting into law
all environmental legislation. The executive branch of government,
from mayor to governor to president, is directly responsible for the
policy and enforcement of environmental legislation. Various
agencies work to
carry out policies which perform the day-to-day objectives of
the enacted legislation. Representatives and senators need to know
what issues are important to you and should be notified when you
object to or
support their actions.
