NSBPOAWelcome to the North Shore Beach Property Owners Association of Rocky Point. The NSBPOA was established in 1928, and we are now in our 80th year. We are excited about all the activities that are still in store for us this spring, summer, fall and winter. Whether you have been a member "forever," or are a new member, or are just now thinking of joining our organization, there is something for everyone to enjoy year-round in the NSBPOA. Print a copy of our 2008 Membership Application and join today!

The North Shore Beach area was established back in 1928. There is a great article entitled "How It All Started" written in 1959 by Harry Ash for the Port Jefferson Times. Harry Ash is a former NSBPOA president. In addition, take a moment to view an original meeting document of the NSBPOA that is dated 1929. Member John Hardecker has also provided us with original documents from the Daily Mirror as well as photos that were scanned in for your viewing pleasure. Approximately 1.18 miles of magnificent beach on the North Shore awaits you. There are three convenient access points and plenty of sunshine, sand, and Long Island Sound to make each and every summer day one you will always remember. Our beaches employ many of our local youth--security guards and lifeguards.

Mary Gibson (Dougherty) had this great old photo. It was taken in the early 1950s.

The NSBPOA is not only a beach association. We operate year-round. We are a civic-minded organization working closely with the Rocky Point Civic Association, North Shore Youth Council, Rocky Point Alumni Foundation, Revitalization and Beautification Committee, Rocky Point PTA, Rocky Point Historical Society, Friends of St. Patrick, and the Council of Dedicated Merchants, Rocky Point Fire Department and the Rocky Point School District. Please e-mail us with any questions or comments. Our e-mail address is mail@northshorebeach.com. Click HERE to get directions to the NSBPOA Clubhouse located at 55 Clubhouse Drive in Rocky Point.

Click HERE to print a Year 2008 application. Tags can be purchased any time during the year and joining our association is both good for you and good for our Rocky Point community. You can pick up tags at Linda Albo Realty on Business Route 25A or at McCarrick's Real Estate located just west of the Dairy on Business Route 25A and Harding Street. In addition, memberships can be purchased at our clubhouse.
