The Rocky Point Friends of Music is comprised of parents, families, and educators dedicated to assisting the Rocky Point School District's Music Department and is an organization dedicated to promoting, supporting and encouraging all students enrolled in the district's music program. This included ALL grades--Kindergarten through 12th--and all musical groups--Chorus, Orchestra and Band. All meetings are held on Monday nights at 7:30 p.m. in the Chorus Room at the high school. The 2008-2009 meeting dates are listed below and subject to change. Please check the school site often for any updates.

The Rocky Point Friends of Music raises funds during the school year through sales of refreshments at student performances and fundraisers, but, your membership in our booster club is needed to help us continue to increase the support we have been able to provide throughout the years. In addition to your membership dollars, we desperately need parents of students currently enrolled in either FJC, the JAE, the Middle School or the High School to become active members of the organization in order to insure its perpetuation. Each of the organization's officers' children have graduated from the district, and yet they continue to serve. And while we are extremely grateful to these unselfish volunteers for their hard work and dedication, we cannot presume to depend upon their generosity indefinitely. We urge you to join us in support of your children. Please complete the attached membership form and either mail it or have your child return it to his/her teacher.
